Air Slide or Air Assisted Conveyor find wide spread use in Cement Plants, Power Stations, Steel Plants and other industries for handling of powdery materials. They are particularly suitable for Material Handling below ESP Hoppers and inside silos. A single conveyor can collect powdery material from multiple hoppers. Sizes from 150 mm to 1.0 meter are available.
Air Slide or Air Assisted conveyor conveys material by air fluidization. A polyester membrane of suitable permeable ceramic pad separates the air plenum from the material section. The conveyor is erected at an inclination of 6-8 degrees and low pressure air of 0.2 bar to 0.6 bar is usually supplied depending on the material of membrane or pad. Air assisted fluidization helps to convey materials up to capacities of 1500 m3/hr. |
